So far, I have actually only seen one road that leads to Rome. So this is a lie. Just Saying.
Anyway, so, my entire life I had dreamed of coming to Italy. Last month, I got the opportunity to move here. Naples! I thought! What a wonderful place! The South of Italy, The Mediterranean, Pompeii, Mount Vesuvius.. all great things.
Unfortunately, Naples is like.. well it's like the worst place in Italy, apparently. It's dirty, the people are rude, none of the famous cuisine or wine comes from this reigion, and there really isn't a whole lot about the city that makes it a desireable place to live.
** Update ... I was totally wrong! It is dirty, but the people are nice and there are many different types of famous cuisine and wine that come from this reigion. I enjoy living here very much, I just needed some more time. I had been here for like 5 days when I wrote this. So, disregard everything I said above
However, it's like having making out with Brad Pitt when he has the stomach flu. His breath smells like vomit, but it's still Brad Pitt. So, I think I can learn to love it. And besides, I find the whole situation kind of humorous, so I am not disappointed at all.
In my travels to the sandbox, and to Africa, I found that the people were nice, and for the most part, could speak English. Not the case in Italy. Not that I mind learning the local language, that doesnt bother me at all.
